    @bzup9mm Actually you would never have guessed that Lupe Fiasco started his record label (1st and 15th) through drug money. He admits to all of this on “Lupe the Killer”.

  2. SayWhat336 says:

  3. tmez11 says:

    I swear, this is one of the few classic tracks made in the 2000’s

  4. Doodorz says:

    it’s about skating you fucktard idiots. I understand austin was joking but i feel bad for you people who believe Lupe’s metaphorically speaking about dealing drugs.

  10. dylanr64 says:

    114 people can’t skateboard

  11. scottyi88 says:

    @hahaitsaustin then why does he say legally and illegally is selling drugs illegal unless ur a pharmacist?

  12. guccamain says:

    how is this song about drug i mean i can see how people could see that but he first got it when he was six…. how is that drugs

  13. DRAWSOME991 says:

    @hahaitsaustin it does sound like that but i think his trying to say u dont need drugs cuz the lyrics sound like his homies are doin drugs at 3:13 but itz like they just skateboard as a way to escape and to be free

  14. MeurtierDee says:

    @vbplayar Heh, Whatever you want to believe bud. I’m not saying you are 100% incorrect. He clearly speaks passionately about skating. However Lupe himself has confirmed the song isn’t about skating per se. If you listen to the song clearly he is in love with skating (in the song) and is constantly told “not here”. i.e. what I said in my previous comment.

  15. hawrify says:

    @hahaitsaustin no shit captain obvious

  16. V3RS4TYLEas3V3R says:

    So today me and some friends are in best buy lookin at music and we show one of the guys the Food and Liquor album.

    He asks “who’s lupe?”

    Me: -_____-…………..

    I not only bout him Food and Liquor but also The Cool. I’m proud to say he’s now a fellow fan.

  17. MartynReave says:

    hey guys, i doubt anyone cares but i have nothing to lose by trying. yes, i know its generic as everyone on youtube is asking to check out their rap channel, but if you have a few minutes to spare wether you wanna legitimately check out my music or visit my page to laugh at how bad you assume i am, it would be much appreciated if you checked my shit out. thanks

  18. SxeBenji181 says:

    @hahaitsaustin it has a few different meaning’s like alot of his song’s, that what make’s him such a good artist.

  19. bzup9mm says:

    @hahaitsaustin Good imagination but lupe fiasco never stated that it was about what you just said. Therefor the song can be perceived in many distinctive-ways.I just believe its a very-deep story of chasing ones dreams, doing what makes you happy while Lupe’s excellent story-telling skills with his metaphors allow us to compare it to many situation, in your case drug-dealing. And by the way, the songs lyrics match what you think just as much as they dont. Listen. Just an opinion.

  20. thecrazyshowshow says:

    @hahaitsaustin yup ok well what about the beginning of the song? I’ve heard this explanation before. I think this is no doubt about skating. I do agree some of the words do sound like selling drugs but almost ever word is about skating just a few are similar to selling drugs. Don’t over analyze things just enjoy the song and lyrics. Its about skateboarding lol

  21. steveeeeboi says:

    @spadesk9

    Uhhhh what, that’s not what a paradox is. A paradox is when something is conflicting within itself. Kind of like saying “Everything I say is a lie” if everything i said is a lie then im telling the the truth which completely contradicts what i just said.

  22. Rembobotom says:

    @missyhancock because he totally wasn’t joking.

  23. SL4VE0WNER1904619 says:

    @PowerSprinter its lupes label…they wouldnt let him produce the music he wanted they wanted it more mainstream thats why it took forever for lasers to come out there was a dispute

  24. missyhancock says:

    @hahaitsaustin no actually if you listen to the song it’s about how he could have sold drugs but instead chose better things but it’s music and you have every right to take whatever you want to take out of it but it’s only YOUR perception…….great song though.
